Second Photographers

We are searching for a couple of second photographers to add to our team! Please look through our photography website and be sure to look at our portfolio to get a feel for the style we are looking for and read the description/instructions below BEFORE submitting any responses. Thank you.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & DESCRIPTION

This is a contract position on an as-needed basis. As weddings come up where a second photographer is needed, we will contact our second photographers to find out who will be available. This is not a regular full-time or part-time position.

-Must have previous photography experience with samples of work; wedding photography experience highly preferred

-Must have own transportation

-Must have own professional DSLR camera and equipment (this could include alternate lenses, memory cards, flash unit) - Canon preferred as this is the system we run on, but will accept others

-Must be mature, friendly, creative and able to follow instructions

Responsibilities will include:

-Acting as second/assistant photographer on assignments with head photographer

-Capturing photographs throughout the wedding of whichever areas head photographer designates (generally candids, details, guests, groomsmen, alternate angles to head photographer's view, etc.)

-Providing quality photographs to head photographer by end of wedding day

-Assisting head photographer with any needs that arise throughout the day

You will NOT be editing your own photographs. In order to stay consistent with the style of images we deliver to our clients, we will do the editing. All you have to do is provide quality photographs for us at the end of the day.

-Attachment of or link to samples of your work (will need to see a minimum of 2 photographs, though more would be appreciated)

-List of your own equipment

-Your favorite part of weddings

-Why you think you would be a good second photographer to compliment our style

As part of the application process, you may be asked to assist at a smaller wedding on a no-pay basis to see how things go and the types of images you turn out. You must be willing to participate in this step before any final decision will be made.

If you are selected as one of our second photographers (congratulations!) your pay will be based on your experience and the length of the wedding (we have 3 pre-designed wedding packages at 3, 5 and 8 hours of photography).
