“Into the Woods” Winter Styled Elopement at The Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill, NH

Sometimes things fall apart so they can fall back together in a better way than you could have ever imagined.

As a lover of winter in New Hampshire, I had this vision of taking outdoor elopements in winter to the next level – to give those couples who choose to start their marriage with an adventure just the two of them something extra that made their day even more special. I decided to bring this vision to life at one of my recent LOFT Workshops and when our initial location fell through less than a month from the shoot date, I started reaching out like crazy to new locations in hopes of securing the perfect space.

Wouldn’t you know that one of those venues would become my favorite location in ALL of the White Mountains and that it would be perfect timing for them as well as they underwent a complete rebrand and renovation. The Sunset Hill House was the location of my dreams that I never knew existed – and you all are in for a treat with these images.

The vision for this shoot was the musical “Into the Woods” with its modern, slightly edgy take on the fairytales we grew up with. I wanted to take that vibe and put it out in the snow. When I shared this vision with the incredible team of vendors who came onboard, they ran with it and together we created something beyond anything I could have hoped for!

The details for this shoot were the key. Each of the vendors gave their all and it shows! The circular arch with dripping flowers, the woodland-inspired wedding rings, the moss-covered tablescape, the watercolor stationery, the twig-wrapped bouquet and boutonierre… this list goes on and on, my friends! So enjoy this bit of inspiration and hopefully I’ll see some of these details popping up in your wedding soon!

None of this gorgeousness would have been possible without our amazing vendor team with an extra special thank you to Saxton & Karen from The Sunset Hill House. Here are the vendors who brought this shoot to life as well as some behind-the-scenes shots. Thanks to Carolina Marles Photography for the shot of me with my on-site coordination team & models!
